about

It struck me one sunny afternoon after a bleak and rather dark period of my life that I had 4 main strategical options to navigate through this sad but beautiful life -
1/ Try to deal with harsh reality on its own terms even if it often made me feel depressed, impotent and apathetic.
2/ Get obsessed with trying to solve the insoluble, fix the unfixable and cure the uncurable. This path of good intentions invariably brought me down a spiral path to bottomless neurotic anxeity states. (Been there, bought the shit coloured T-shirt and taken the sedatives!)
3/ Live a life of complete denial and delusion to the point of becoming a psychotic sociopath living up a tree or perhaps being so blindly "in love" I couldn't see the precipice I'm walking towards. (Daynight in Paris treads that path and it doesn't feel all bad actually!)
4/ Find some sort of spiritual meaning to everything - very tempting but since most religious beliefs suck, not very easy.
Each verse explores one of these pathways - I'm actually very proud of these lyrics! - but obviously no attempt is made at a conclusion - what do you expect - I'm no bloody Buddha!!
